The brief:

Manchester City Football Club, one of the wealthiest football clubs in the world, planned to transform the former 2002 Commonwealth Games complex.

The City of Manchester Stadium needed to be become a landmark in the fast-developing East Manchester area. More than just a football club, the stadium aimed to become the venue of choice for some of the most prestigious events in the city.

How we inspired:

To fulfill the objectives of the £800,000 design and build project, we needed to create a luxurious finish akin with a five-star hotel. Our in-house team created a bespoke design for the corridors, the Chairman’s Lounge, Boardroom, offices and commercial kitchens. We used the best of materials and our craftsmen fitted them to an exceptional standard.

Our bespoke joinery, decoration, lighting and the quality of our finish earned Jennor a National Gold Award from the Association of Interior Specialists.

What is more, we turned around the project within eight weeks so that Manchester City had a stadium in the premier league of design for the start of the new season.

The result:

The City of Manchester Stadium has been central to raising the profile of East Manchester and has inspired confidence and new investment there. The creation of a destination venue has been a core element of the City Council’s vision for transforming the area. Now, the City of Manchester Stadium is renowned throughout the North West as one of the leading leisure and conference facilities.
