Project Date: January 2010
Situated in the heart of Liverpool’s business district, One Derby Square is a multi-let office and retail development that required complete refurbishment inside and outside.
Formerly known as Pearl Assurance House, the project required sympathetic and careful management of works to enable tenants and the public to enjoy business as usual during the refurbishment.
How we inspired:
The refurbishment demanded extremely careful management as the building housed existing tenants and shared services.
We also replaced windows to the front of the building, which sits on a busy main road, without disrupting traffic, tenants or the public.
Inside, the narrow, angular reception was given the illusion of space and light with a slick, white finish and the clever use of glass and mirrors. A new entrance was created and the reception desk relocated.
The four upper floors were then redecorated and re-carpeted and new stairwells were fitted.
One Derby Square was relaunched as a state-of-the-art multi-let retail and office space that was successfully refitted with minimum disruption.
The building now commands premium rental values, is a highly-sought after address among companies in the city and has full occupancy.
