Our brief  

This Project was our first triumph in tendering for Anderton Gables (A.G.) and we had great pleasure in adding their Logo to our extensive ‘Wall of Clients’. The Ropewalk Community Centre in Derby was in need of quite an extensive refurbishment as it had been a while since its last one, and also as testimony to its ongoing success and growth as a Community Hub, an extension was also needed to add some new and much needed Meeting / Consultation Rooms as well as a stand alone Server Room.

Jennor UK were tasked with the following works:-  

  • The full strip-out of the original building.
  • Prepare land for Extension to existing Ropewalk Centre.
  • Construct Extension (Traditional Build) to add around another third of the original Floorplate.
  • Install Windows into Extension and make building secure prior to breaking through.
  • Internal reconfiguration of Centre prior to fit-out.
  • Full internal Fit-Out including all Specialist Joinery.
  • New (Jennor UK assisted Design) M. + E. & A./C. throughout.
  • Full Power upgrade throughout.
  • Strip out and renew W.C. block to Male, Female and Disabled/D.D.A. closets.
  • New (Jennor UK assisted Design) Lighting throughout.
  • Geometric featured timber ceiling decoration.
  • Installation of featured Department dividing Trellis Screens. I
  • nstallation of various types of Floor Finishes throughout.
  • Specialist Vinyl wall coverings to Male, Female and Disabled/D.D.A. closets.
  • Final Decoration throughout the whole Building Inc. Reception Areas.
  • Stunning new rear Patio area complete with Timber Bench Seating for Patrons and Staff.
  • An amount of external Highways works inc. pathway reinstatement & remarking Parking Boundaries etc.

The Result  

The result of this project is there for all to see and in the comments and feedback we’ve received since its completion, both from Anderton Gables and their Client ‘Futures Housing Group’. We must add that we were ably assisted by the A.G.’s site management team upon this development and considering this was our first project together, our connection was seamless, we hope this will be the first of many successful projects together.
